After an exciting two years, East Fork Cultivars has made the difficult decision to close Hemp Bar.

In May of 2021 we opened Hemp Bar, East Fork’s retail experiment combining CBD products made with hemp sourced from our farm, a creative mocktail program, cannabis science education, and a family-friendly, welcoming space for social consumption.

East Fork Cultivars is proud to announce the addition of Tricia Chin and Anna Symonds to its leadership team. Tricia joins the team as a Co-Owner, carrying on the legacy and vision of her late husband Joel Fischer, East Fork Cultivars' Ambassador of Happiness. Anna has been named East Fork’s Chief Communications Officer, a recognition of the additional responsibilities she’s already been managing beyond the scope of her previous title as Director of Education.

The Cultivation Classic is the most scientifically rigorous competition on Earth, and judges craft cannabis grown in Oregon.

East Fork Cultivars was honored to win Gold again this year at the 2020 Cultivation Classic.

Idle Hands Collective took the initiative of beautifying the Foster-Powell neighborhood of Portland, Oregon with positive messages and vivid imagery. Since mid-March, Oregon businesses have remained shuttered to comply with the coronavirus response executive order, leaving many streets boarded up and tagged with graffiti. Included in Idle Hands efforts was Hemp Bar, the future home of East Fork Cultivars’ retail hemp store and new office space.

On February 3, 2020, East Fork Cultivars co-hosted an informational event celebrating the expansion of Sun+Earth Certified into Oregon.

We celebrate this distinction for the message it sends - you don’t have to be big to be the best. That values, intention, innovation, and most importantly ethics, are rewarded.In future posts we'll be sharing more in the coming months on what ethical cannabis means to us and how it can, and hopefully will continue to, manifest in the hemp and cannabis trades

Nathan & Aaron began searching for cultivars that would provide the pain relief & euphoria that their brother searched for in cannabis without leaving him debilitatingly high: elusive type 2 & 3 cultivars that were dominant in CBD (cannabidiol). Little did they know, that search for genetics better suited for treating their brother’s symptoms would be a major differentiator for their future company, carrying it through the tough times ahead.
