Our Mission

East Fork Cultivars is a farm-focused cannabis and hemp company, with headquarters in the picturesque Illinois River Valley in Takilma, Oregon, and a satellite office in Portland, Oregon. Founded in 2015, East Fork strives to develop and preserve sustainable, sun-grown farming methods in order to produce high-quality, genetically diverse, CBD-rich cultivars while maintaining a resolute commitment to environmental responsibility, science-based education, and social justice.

ORGANIZATION Philosophies

Continual Improvement: The lean philosophy of continual improvement is at the core of our operations. This extends to the way we are organized, communicate with each other, and approach our daily work, recognizing that consistent, small iterations add up to big change.

Strong Teams: East Fork is organized into small teams, each overseeing a core function of the organization. These teams have clearly articulated missions, and work intimately together to get things done.

Effective Communication: Consistent, professional communication keeps our teams on the same page. We use modern tools, efficient meetings, and simple project management principles to keep information flowing.

Advice Process: We make a lot of decisions, from which seeds to plant to how we approach the market. Within our team structure lies a core principle: If you're going to make a big decision, solicit the advice from the people in the organization that it will likely impact the most. While not a perfect process, this principle helps improve decision-making and insures that multiple stakeholders are considered and engaged.

A Rising Tide – Compensation Philosophy

East Fork is a place for intrinsically motivated people, driven by a passion to improve the world around them. We keep compensation in a tight range, with a high, living-wage floor. As East Fork grows, that range rises, too. The rising tide lifts all boats.
