Founded in 2015, East Fork strives to develop and preserve sustainable, sun-grown farming methods in order to produce high-quality, genetically diverse, CBD-rich cultivars while maintaining a resolute commitment to environmental responsibility, science-based education, and social justice. East Fork is seeking a talented, passionate and self-directed Account Manager to join our team. This position is located in Portland, Oregon.
Position Summary
The Account Manager’s primary role is to support East Fork’s retail sales channels in Oregon’s adult-use cannabis market. The Account Manager will work closely with the Sales Manager to service East Fork’s growing customer base, and serve as an ambassador for East Fork’s mission, vision, and values.
The Account Manager will engage in all areas related to sales including lead generation, business development, relationship management, and fulfillment. This role includes time at the office, field days visiting accounts, and some remote work.

Outcomes (in order of priority):
Maintain and grow relationships with retail partners in East Fork’s adult-use sales channel.
Generate leads, develop new accounts, and hit sales goals.
Schedule and carry out sample drops and product showings at retail stores.
Help educate and train retail partner staff on the evidence-based benefits of East Fork products.
Maintain compliance, record keeping, and data systems, including our CRM.
Manage and collect accounts receivable.
Plan and carry out in-store demos and other point-of-sale support activities.
Support retail marketing efforts with ideas for promotions and copywriting for simple campaigns.
Work closely with members of the Sales, Identity, and Operations teams to support the overall success of East Fork.
Document processes using SOPs to encourage continual improvement and develop resilient business systems.

Compensation and Benefits
Starting annual salary: $43,000
Bonus program: Eligible for up to $12,000 in annual bonuses based on performance
Health insurance: Partially subsidized plan
Paid time off: 4 weeks (160 hours) paid vacation per year, plus paid holidays and sick time
Qualifications and Skills:
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must be legally able to work in the U.S.
Must possess or obtain an OLCC Marijuana Handlers Permit
3+ years of sales or relevant professional experience — cannabis sales experience preferred but not required
Proficient computer skills including Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Forms, Calendar), CRM, experience with Oregon Cannabis Tracking system (Metrc) a plus
Adept at learning systems and processes with attention to quality and detail
Work schedule, relationships, and culture
Schedule: The Account Manager should average at least 40 hours per week, setting their schedule in collaboration with the Portland team. The Portland team tends to work during the day M-F, and we encourage frequent in-person office time to deepen connection within the organization.
Relationships: The Account Manager will work closely with the Sales Manager, the Operations Team, other members of the Sales Team, and the CEO.
Travel: This position requires a fair amount of travel. A company vehicle will be provided for most activities, however a backup reliable vehicle is required. We compensate for miles driven using a personal vehicle at the standard IRS business rate (currently $0.585/mile for 2022).
