East Fork recognizes that the lands where our farm and offices are located are the traditional homes of the Gusladada, Kuus-tlaa-tunuu, Gusthlantun (Ku’thlántun), K’vms Lhan Dee-ni’, Haw-quo-e-hav-took (Chasta / Shasta), and Takelma people and other Tribes in the areas now called Takilma and the Illinois Valley; and the Clackamas, Cowlitz, and other Tribes in the area now called Portland, Oregon. Please read our blog for a full acknowledgement of the history of Takilma’s land and traditional inhabitants – as well as how you can support their present efforts for restoration, and our thoughts about our shared future.
