East Fork Cultivars is a farm-focused CBD-forward organic cannabis and hemp company. Our farm headquarters is in the picturesque Illinois River Valley town of Takilma, Oregon, and our satellite office is in Portland, Oregon. We will be launching Hemp Bar as our flagship retail space for quality and accessible low-THC (hemp) goods and CBD mocktails.

East Fork is seeking a talented, passionate and self-directed Retail / Café General Manager to join our team.
Important note: This position is based in East Fork’s Portland office and candidates must have the ability to work onsite.

Legal Requirements
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must be legally able to work in the U.S.
Must possess or obtain an OLCC Marijuana Worker Permit
Skills and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience in a managerial role
Strong decision-making capabilities
Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills
Knowledge of basic accounting procedures
Proven ability to develop and maintain financial plans
Ability to motivate and lead people, and hold employees accountable
Knowledge of relevant computer applications (including but not limited to Square POS, Woocommerce e-Commerce platform, Zoho, and G Suite)
Strong working knowledge of retail/service operational procedures
E-Commerce inventory management and order fulfillment experience a plus
Innate Ingenuity
Able to conceptualize “the whole” while working with precision among the details
Creative approach to problem solving and adaptive strategist
Encouraging leader: provide guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas
Role Duties and Outcomes
Oversee day-to-day operations, assigning weekly performance goals and assuring their completion, while accomplishing your own goals
Recruit, interview, develop, hire and train bar staff
Interact with customers to develop loyalty and handle customer concerns
Ensure all licenses are current including health and safety
Ensure staff is following all food control and safety regulations
Create employee schedules based on expected customer numbers
Oversee accurate cash handling procedures and ensure necessary paperwork is complete
Ensure adherence to cash management procedures
Model and encourage a positive and productive workplace
Ensure profitability by analyzing costs versus sales
Work with vendors to develop new productions or promotions for the bar
Set and maintain standards for safe food handling, cleanliness and safety
Enhances merchandising and organization of retail displays
Vendor management: negotiate with vendors, order supplies, manage inventories and budgets
Other responsibilities as designated by company
Work Schedule and Travel
Schedule: The General Manager should average at least 40 hours per week and sets their own schedule in collaboration with the Hemp Bar and Portland teams. The Portland team tends to work during the day M-F, retail operations will likely occur 7 days per week, and we encourage frequent in-person office time to deepen connection within the team. Occasionally, one must manage issues outside of scheduled hours.
Travel: This position may require a minimal amount of travel. Occasional use of a company vehicle is available.

Compensation and Benefits
Starting annual salary: $43,000
Health insurance: Partially subsidized plan
Paid time off: 4 weeks per year (to be coordinated with team and company needs)
