Flower Team Lead
East Fork Cultivars is a farm-focused cannabis and hemp company, with headquarters in the picturesque Illinois River Valley in Takilma, Oregon, and a satellite office in Portland, Oregon. Founded in 2015, East Fork strives to develop and preserve sustainable, sun-grown farming methods in order to produce high-quality, genetically diverse, CBD-rich cultivars while maintaining a resolute commitment to environmental responsibility, science-based education, and social justice. East Fork is seeking a talented, passionate and self-directed Flower Team Lead to join our team.
This position is located in Takilma, Oregon and candidates must be able to work onsite.
Position Summary
The Flower Team is the largest team at East Fork Cultivars, and the Flower Team Lead ensures that this team operates efficiently. The position includes responsibilities focused on material handling, crew leadership, order fulfillment, process improvement, inventory tracking and labeling, workplace safety, and plays an important role in modeling and encouraging a positive and productive workplace. Working directly with other Team Leads, the Flower Team Lead is also responsible for crew scheduling, task delegation, team performance reviews, organizational strategy, and continual process improvement.
Outcomes (in order of priority):
Serve as Team Lead for the Flower Team
Coach team members to meet performance and behavioral expectations
Coordinate Flower Team daily operations
Develop, improve, and prepare all transfers of flower from the farm
Maintain project management tools to organize and continually improve daily Flower Team operations
Help manage crew member work schedules
Conduct performance reviews of team members
Maintain records necessary for regulatory, certification, and business needs
Help to manage seed-to-sale inventory tracking system
Help monitor all state-required signage and on-site regulatory requirements
Coordinate with other Team Leads to outline farm tasks/goals on a daily and weekly basis
Monitor and address cleanliness and organization of the facility
Coordinate with Team Leads to properly open and close facility each day
Lean systems understanding: Able to fully understand, use, and implement the core lean systems tools of Kaizen, Kanban, and SOP’s as a way to reduce waste and maximize value added work.

Qualifications and Skills:
3+ years relevant professional experience
Must be 21 years of age and have a valid OLCC Marijuana Handlers Permit
Strong communication skills and a healthy sense of humor
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to perform physical farm labor
Software we currently use regularly: Metrc (Oregon’s seed-to-sale cannabis tracking system), Zoho CRM, G Suite, Slack, Trello
Compensation and Benefits
Annual salary: $43,000 to $46,500
Health insurance: Partially subsidized plan
Paid time off: 4 weeks (flexible guideline, to be coordinated with team)

Work schedule, relationships, and culture
Schedule: The Flower Team Lead should average at least 40 hours per week. It is required to attend morning huddles on the farm at 8 a.m. and be available throughout the work day. The farm team generally works M-F, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with an hour lunch 12pm-1pm.
Relationships: The Flower Team Lead will work closely with the Leadership Teams, Operations Team, Sales Team, and other farm-based crew members.
Travel: This position requires a minimal amount of travel.
