East Fork is seeking a talented, passionate Flower Quality Specialist to join our team.

Position Summary

The Flower Quality Specialist is tasked with ensuring that all of East Fork’s cannabis and hemp flower products are of a consistently high quality throughout their lifecycle. East Fork grows more than 10,000 pounds of cannabis and hemp flower each year — the Flower Quality Specialist makes sure each pound is handled, packaged, stored, and transported with diligence and care. The ideal candidate has an eye for detail, a passion for cannabis flower, and an ability to monitor complex quality benchmarks across a large, diverse inventory.


Legal Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • Must be legally able to work in the U.S.

  • Must possess or obtain an OLCC Marijuana Worker Permit


Minimum Qualifications and Technical Skills

  • 3+ years relevant experience — cannabis handling experience preferred, but not required

  • Competent digital skills, including but not limited to G Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Drive, Forms, Calendar); experience with Oregon Cannabis Tracking system (Metrc) a plus

  • Proficient with cannabis production tools, including knockbox, mill, scissors, scales, pruning shears, vacuum sealer, TrimPro, etc.

  • Adept at learning systems and processes with attention to quality and detail.

  • Ability to work productively at repetitive tasks, including sitting or standing for long periods of time.

  • Able to conceptualize “the whole” while working with precision among the details.

  • Creative approach to problem solving and improving on existing standards.


Role Duties and Outcomes (in order of priority)

  1. Ensure that all of East Fork's flower products are of a consistently high quality.

  2. Successfully coordinate flower postharvest life cycle (including curing, destemming, grading, storage, finishing, and packaging).

  3. Physically work with the Flower Team to destem, grade, package, and finish flower to bring it to market.

  4. Help maintain inventory par levels of all flower products as dictated by market need.

  5. Keep careful records for compliance, inventory, and financial analysis purposes.

  6. Continually refine and improve flower handling systems.

  7. Interface with Sales, Identity, and Cultivation teams as necessary to communicate flower handling details.

  8. Support other Flower Team needs, including ordering supplies and maintaining tools and equipment.

  9. Assist with seasonal farm needs, including planting and harvesting.

  10. Participate in shared farm team activities, including cleaning, policy refinement, workshops, and occasional travel.

Compensation and Benefits

Starting pay: $20/hour

  • Work schedule: 40 hours/week, 8am – 5pm M-F

  • Health insurance: Partially subsidized employer-sponsored plan

  • Paid time off: 80 hrs/yr accrued PTO; 40 hrs/year sick time

  • Travel: the position may occasionally require a minimal amount of travel
