East Fork Cultivars is a farm-focused cannabis and hemp company with headquarters in the picturesque Illinois River Valley in Takilma, Oregon, and a satellite office in Portland, Oregon. East Fork is seeking a talented, passionate and self-directed Content Marketing Specialist to join our team.
This position is located in Portland, Oregon.
Position Summary
The Content Marketing Specialist will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing the company’s content strategy based on our specific goals and objectives. Top candidates will be well-versed in content marketing activities to encourage customer engagement including social media, copywriting, and email marketing. The content marketing specialist will take a lead role in day-to-day marketing activities for East Fork Cultivars and related brands, while working closely with the identity team. Outcomes (in order of priority):
Support company success through customer and audience growth and engagement
Social content – writing, scheduling, posting, and monitoring
Campaign management – manage implementation of content, marketing, and advertising campaigns and campaign reporting
Email marketing – write, design, and schedule promotional emails for customers
Social engagement – respond to comments and messages on social media platforms
Reporting and analysis – tracking consumer and content analytics and generate reports and presentations with Google Analytics and Google Sheets
Project management – content calendars and ensuring that the content remains consistent across all platforms while coordinating with the identity team to ensure the timely delivery of assignments
Content goals – work with the Creative Director to ideate and define content goals
Content trends – research content and consumer trends to ensure that content is relevant and appealing
Copywriting – write long-form informative blogs (1000-2400 words) with relevant SEO keywords
Proofreading – edit content before publishing
Website content – writing including blog posts, product descriptions, and managing images

Compensation and Benefits
Starting wage: $20/hour
Paid vacation: Accrue 0.04 hours of PTO for each hour worked. This is about two weeks of PTO per year based on a full-time schedule

Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or 3+ years relevant professional experience
Excellent written skills in realms of social media and brand voice
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Optimistic outlook & get-it-done attitude with a large dose of humor on the side is required
Software we currently use regularly: Klaviyo, Later, Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, Slack, Google Workspace, Trello, Squarespace, Google Analytics
Content creation (photography and/or videography) experience a plus
Current OLCC handler’s permit
Work schedule, relationships, and culture
Schedule: The Content Marketing Specialist should average 30-40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
Location: This position is a hybrid role – we are in-person at our Portland, Oregon office two days a week with a remote option three days a week.
Relationships: The Content Marketing Specialist will work closely with the Identity Team, and works most directly with the Creative Director.
Travel: This position requires a limited amount of travel. Trips to the farm in Southern Oregon may be required quarterly for meetings, seasonal support, and content creation.
