Why we created a cannabis soap with Dr. Bronner's

We’ve partnered with Dr. Bronner's and Sun and Earth Certified to create a limited-edition cannabis-scented Bar Soap.
With our cannabis terpenes added for fragrance, this bar soap offers a robust, earthy cannabis aroma (and is free of THC and CBD).
100% of the profits from this endeavor will go to supporting small-scale regenerative organic cannabis growers who prioritize soil health, worker rights, and community building. Because building a sustainable future requires us to take care of people and the environment before focusing on profits.
How do you get your hands on this bar soap?
Starting Friday, November 20th, the bar soap — and several other rad items — can be shipped to your home anywhere in the United States if a donation is made at sunandearth.org/donate/.
You can also receive the soap as a gift when you purchase Sun+Earth Certified cannabis flower and/or products at dispensaries across California and Oregon. The list of participating retail outlets is posted on the Sun+Earth website (sunandearth.org).
Why did we make this soap?
This campaign aims to raise funds that will be used to subsidize the certification costs for new farms seeking to be Sun+Earth Certified, and to increase awareness of the program.
Our good friends at Dr. Bronner's (the top-selling natural brand of soap in North America) are longtime supporters of cannabis legalization and drug policy reform. Most recently, they helped Oregon pass landmark progressive drug policy reform via Ballot Measures 109 and 110, by donating $1 million+ and offering essential strategic guidance.
Why Sun + Earth Certified?
Cannabis has been grown naturally, under the sun, for millennia.
But in the last decade, alongside the benefits of legalization, the cannabis industry has become increasingly commodified and dominated by large-scale industrial agriculture. This includes both energy-intensive indoor gardens, and heavy reliance on chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
Meanwhile, it is increasingly difficult for small-scale, craft-focused family farmers to find a marketplace for their products, and for consumers to know how their cannabis was grown.
Sun+Earth Certified is dedicated to shifting the cannabis cultivation industry toward a cleaner, healthier, and more ethical future.
A first-of-its-kind nonprofit certification for regenerative organic cannabis, the Sun+Earth seal is based on a rigorous set of standards for cannabis grown in the soil of Mother Earth, under the sun, by fairly paid farmers and farm workers.
Since its founding on Earth Day 2019, Sun+Earth has certified 42 cannabis farms and manufacturers in 6 states, whose products are sold in hundreds of retail outlets across the country. In order to be accessible to small-scale family farms, Sun+Earth subsidizes the direct costs of certification, while also providing market outreach and technical assistance around regenerative farming practices.
By raising $25,000 this fall with this campaign, the Sun+Earth team will be able to reach even more farms, expanding the marketplace for regenerative organic cannabis products all over the U.S.
